Brian Pacheco is a fourth-generation family farmer and dairyman in Fresno County. His great-grandfather began dairying in the early 1900s. Brian manages the 1,300 cow dairy and oversees a diversified farm that grows Thompson vines, almonds, alfalfa, corn silage, and winter forage.
As an elected member of the Kerman Unified School District Board of Trustees, Brian is responsible for a $30 Million yearly budget and 600 employees. He is a strong advocate of public education and excellence in our local schools. Pacheco also serves as a member of the Community Regional Medical Center Board of Directors.
Pacheco graduated in 1991 from the University of California, Davis, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics and a minor in rhetoric and communication. He was the commencement speaker at his class graduation and is a recipient of UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Award of Distinction.
Brian is the past President of the Fresno County Farm Bureau and member of numerous community organizations, including Mothers Against Drunk Driving, the Fresno and Kerman Chambers of Commerce and the Nisei Farmers League.
Pacheco and his wife, Alena, have three children, Anthony, Danielle and Matthew.
